Pre-K in the Park
We Encourage Childhood Joy

About Pre-K in the Park
Serving the Saratoga Springs Area for 15 years, Pre-K in the Park is a thoughtfully designed program for the modern preschooler—one where curiosity, connection, and creativity flourish. Our balanced approach is rooted in seven pillars of early childhood education: nature-based learning with outdoor exploration, real-life experiences through field trips, a strong academic phonics forward approach,
true open-ended play, social-emotional development, nourishing food, and art.

Created specifically to support the rapidly developing minds of children ages 3–5, our program nurtures secure attachments, independence, and the pure joy of childhood.
In our mixed-age classroom, children learn with and from one another, experiencing each stage of growth together. They build friendships, practice sharing, and develop empathy—skills that form the foundation of confident and compassionate learners.

Pre-K in the Park was founded by Heather Stewart, who continues to guide the program as director and head teacher. What began as her vision has grown organically into a beloved learning community, shaped by her dedication to honoring the needs of young children and the magic of early childhood.
